Most people put on Archies Jandals and they find them to be instantly and unbelievably comfortable! However, for some people, getting used to the support can take some time and sometimes you may even experience some soreness.
So in the unlikely event your Archies Jandals are not instantly comfortable, do not worry, after several days of wear, the jandals will gradually mould to the shape of your foot and will become much more comfortable.
(You can also fast-track the wearing in by heat moulding your Archies Jandals. This process is very quick and easy and makes them super comfy. How to heat mould your Archies Jandals. )
The wearing-in period is similar to when someone first starts wearing orthotics, in that it is very common that people feel some soreness as their feet adjust to having an arch under them and also due to the changes that occur from the re-correcting of foot posture.
When wearing orthotics for the first time, Podiatrists frequently recommend that you wear them for short periods of time while your feet adjust to the orthotic. In a case such as yours where someone starts wearing Archies Jandals for the first time and they feel some discomfort, then we suggest following a similar principle to what the Podiatrist recommend and to wear them in gradually. E.g - You might like to wear them for an hour or so a day and gradually increase this until your feet become more comfortable with the arch.
If you feel you have given the jandals a good try (we normally recommend at least 2 weeks of gradually wearing them in) and they are not starting to get much more comfortable (they should be very comfortable!), please contact us at customer support.
If you are in actual pain from wearing the jandals, we do not advise to push through this, in this case, please stop wearing the jandals and contact us right away.
If any soreness or pain continues to persist, then please contact your health care professional. The above is general information and should not replace the advice given to you by your health practitioner.
